Wig Transformation Process

Description

So I got this wig and it was an abomination. So tangled, frayed, and frizzed, the before picture does not truly show how bad it was. But I thought, hey, it has potential. I'll see if I can fix it.

10ish hours of work later, and I have a beautiful silky smooth wig. Very daunting work, but if you're interested, here is the process I used:

Washed wig several times, conditioned and rinsed twice. Soak in a mixture of 40% fabric softener, 60% water for about 5-6 hours (or more), and then let dry. Do not move on to the next step until completely dry. It will just cause you more work.

Separate into teeny tiny sections (I mean extremely small sections). Take some detangling spray and a paddle brush to the small sections. Start detangling at the ends, and slowly work your way up. Take your time, do not rush this step. It will take time. Lots and lots of time lol.

After it is all brushed out, it still won't look perf yet. You'll need to take a hair straightener to it. Then viola! Your time and patience will eventually pay off, don't give up!
